Welcome
Hi, you've reached Strangely Ironic, the mini-folio and website of Alison Hover.
Check out a small portion of my work in the portfolio or pop over to my blog at Pixeltoast.
Feel free to drop me an email using the form to the right - just for general comments or even if you need a site building! I can't promise I'll do all web projects, but if it's just a small site you're after I'll probably be able to squeeze it into my busy schedule.
This site is made using XHTML Transitional and CSS 3. I have used Andy Clarke's "hard-boiled" approach to web design.

About
My name is Alison, I'm 23 and live in Manchester, England.
I love web design. I began making websites in 2001 and have been designing them ever since, always striving to increase my knowledge of techniques, methods and standards.
I'm primarily a front-end designer and coder. I use html, css, javascript and occasionally dabble with Flash to transform my designs into functional websites. However, I also have a good knowledge of some backend systems and coding methods such as PHP and MySQL. I can also create Drupal CMS websites and Magento Ecommerce sites.
In my spare time I like to go to the cinema, go to the pub and - although I don't do it as often as I'd like anymore - play ice hockey. For more about my interests and my thoughts on the latest goings on pop over to my blog!
